Shipping Policy

At Blue Ridge Rabbit Meat Co., we take shipping seriously. Rabbit meat is a perishable product, and getting it to you cold, safe, and on time requires care at every step.

Nationwide Coverage

We ship to all 50 U.S. states, including Alaska and Hawaii where FedEx/UPS service is available.

Shipping Schedule

We ship every Tuesday and Wednesday only.

  • Orders placed by 6:00 PM EST on Tuesday ship that week.
  • Orders placed after 6:00 PM EST on Tuesday ship the following week.

Carriers

We ship via FedEx Priority Overnight, FedEx 2Day, or FedEx Home Delivery depending on your location, and UPS 2Day Air or UPS Ground where applicable.

Packaging

Every order ships with gel ice packs and an insulated liner, calibrated for your shipping zone and transit time to keep your order frozen or refrigerator-cold on arrival.

Minimum Order Requirements

To maintain proper temperature control, single packs must be ordered in pairs (2) or trios (3). We also recommend orders of $100 or more for the best packaging and delivery experience.

Flat-Rate Shipping Zones

Zone 1 (AL, AR, IL, IN, IA, KS, KY, LA, MS, MO, NE, OK, TN, TX): Free over $150
Zone 2 (AZ, CO, FL, GA, MI, MN, NM, NC, OH, SC, WI): Free over $150
Zone 3 (CT, DE, MD, MA, MT, NH, NJ, NY, ND, PA, RI, SD, UT, VT, VA, WV, WY): Free over $300
Zone 4 (AK, CA, HI, ID, ME, NV, OR, WA): Free over $400, $30 flat if $75 to $399, $50 flat under $75

Arrival and Temperature Safety

It's completely normal for your order to arrive partially thawed. Per USDA guidelines, as long as your order arrives refrigerator-cold (40°F or below), the meat is safe to use immediately or refreeze. If it feels cold to the touch when it arrives, you're good.

Damaged or Warm Arrival Claims

If your order arrives warm or damaged:

  • Contact us within 24 hours of delivery.
  • Email blueridgerabbits@gmail.com with clear photos of the packaging, contents, and any temperature indicators.
  • We'll make it right.

Claims submitted after 24 hours or without photos may not be eligible for replacement or refund.

Delivery Day Requests

Add a note at checkout or email us within 2 hours of placing your order and we'll do our best to accommodate a specific delivery day.
